Fiji Museum & Walk Around Suva (Day 4 in Fiji)

This morning I woke up at about 8am feeling pretty sticky from the heat. I laid in bed for awhile reading until we decided to have breakfast at around 9:45. We talked to our mom and decided that we would visit the Fiji museum and then walk around the city for the day.
We left here a little after 10 and drove through the city taking in the sights on the way to the museum. Evy and I walked around the museum for about an hour and then walked into the city to meet up with some friends. We decided to take the American route for lunch and get some Pizza Hut, which actually tastes NOTHING like Pizza Hut at home. Here in Fiji they use ketchup as tomato sauce, which was interesting, but pretty good at the same time. After lunch we walked around a bit, talked to some locals, and took a bunch of pictures. At around 2:30 we decided to take a taxi home so that we could relax by the pool for the day. It’s a tough life : ).

So all in all today was pretty uneventful, but the highlight was definitely that my Fijian family LOVES the show GLEE : ) we sat and watched it together and it felt like home. Tomorrow we start class, which should be interesting. But other than that, life is good.

Also, just a side note: I’ve been mistaken on more than one occasion as being Australian.. maybe it’s fate ;)
